One of the recent attractive therapeutic approaches for cancer treatment is restoring downregulated microRNAs. They play an essential muti-regulatory role in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, survival, apoptosis, cell cycle, angiogenesis, and metastasis, among others. In this study, a gold nanoplatform (GNPF) carrying miR-145, a downregulated microRNA in many cancer types, including epithelial ovarian cancer, was designed and synthesized. For targeting purposes, the GNPF was functionalized with the FSH33 peptide, which provided selectivity for ovarian cancer, and loaded with the miR-145 to obtain the nanosystem GNPF-miR-145. The GNPF-mir-145 was selectively incorporated in A2780 and SKOV3 cells and significantly inhibited cell viability and migration and exhibited proliferative and anchor-independent growth capacities. Moreover, it diminished VEGF release and reduced the spheroid size of ovarian cancer through the damage of cell membranes, thus decreasing cell viability and possibly activating apoptosis. These results provide important advances in developing miR-based therapies using nanoparticles as selective vectors and provide approaches for in vivo evaluation.

Background: Suicidality in adolescents is a growing concern and is currently a public health
issue in Chile and the world. Objective: To determine the association between the risk of suicidality
with self-harm, sociodemographic parameters (that is, gender and type of school), psychosocial
variables, and social and family support in Chilean adolescents. Methods: In a cross-sectional
study, 829 (377, 45.5% girls) children/adolescents between 10 and 19 years of age participated.
Suicidality, self-esteem, health-related quality of life (HRQoL), and social support perception were
evaluated by standard, validated questionnaires. The presence of self-harm, dating violence, and
family dysfunction was also evaluated through a self-report survey. Results: Suicidality risk was
related to low self-esteem (OR = 9.73; 95%; CI = 6.62–14.28; p < 0.001), low HRQoL (OR = 5.0;
95%; CI = 3.51–7.13; p < 0.001), low social support (OR; 3.38, 95%; CI; 2.48–4.6; p < 0.001), and
self-harm (OR = 8.03; 95%; CI = 5.69–11.33; p < 0.001). In family terms, suicidality risk was associated
with exposure to physical (OR = 2.47, 95%CI; 1.69–3.6; p < 0.001) and psychological (OR = 1.78, 95;
1.33–2.39; p < 0.001) aggression between parents, and with considering their family dysfunctional
(OR = 2.41 95%; CI = 1.69–3.41; p < 0.001). Finally, suicidality was associated with feeling mistreated
by a boyfriend/girlfriend (OR = 2.18; 95% CI = 1.19–3.98; p = 0.011). Conclusion: Suicidality was
associated with self-harm, low social, psychological and family well-being, and/or feeling mistreated
by a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Introduction: diazepam belongs to a group of medicines called benzodiazepines. These drugs are known to work in the brain through GABA and, it used to relieve anxiety and control the agitation caused by alcohol withdrawal.

Method: variation in weight, friability, hardness, disintegration time, quantification of active ingredient, speed and dissolution profile between the innovative and multi-source drugs marketed in the Peruvian market. The evaluation of these presentations did with the USP 42 Pharmacopeia.

Results: the results established that all Diazepam 10 mg multi-source tablets included in this research are bioequivalent with the chosen innovative brand and, therefore, can be interchangeable.

Conclusions: The results observed that the multi-source tablets of Diazepam 10 mg included in this research are bioequivalent with the innovator and, therefore, allow the determination of pharmaceutical equivalence as a support element in the decision-making process for purchasing in the service pharmacist.; Resumen Introducción: el Diazepam pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos llamados benzodiazepinas.

"Novel Foods" are any foods produced with new technologies and substances, as well as those that have not been used for human consumption to a significant degree. This article presents a general review of publications related to "Novel Foods", through a bibliometric analysis using information extracted from Web of Science (WoS) between 1997 and 2020. The review identified the most cited and productive authors, as well as the main countries and journals publishing. The results are presented in tables and graphs, and a bibliometric mapping using the VOSviewer program is also included. The countries with the highest number of publications and citations were the United States, England, and Netherlands; while among the most productive authors were Naska, A. (Greece), Siani, A. (Italy) and Turck, D. (France). This work may provide guidance to academics who wish to conduct research in this field together with other researchers from different countries and institutions.; En Europa se consideran como “Novel Foods” cualquier alimento producido con nuevas tecnologías y sustancias, así como
