Capital social y regeneración urbana: una construcción de ciudadanía para la ciudad del siglo XXI

Abstract

El presente documento busca contribuir al análisis reflexivo en

torno al proceso de Regeneración Urbana desde la dimensión

socio-cultural. Por ello, se ha escogido como foco de estudio,

el Capital Social, intentando aportar al campo de investigación

sobre la materia expuesta.

Está investigación, postula que los procesos de desarrollo urbano deben abocar a los principales cimientos del urbanismo,

que definen como objetivo último y/o misión; la construcción y

fortaleza de la ciudadanía, dando validez a conceptos que son

parte de la Constitución política, el Bien Común.

Así, se desplega un análisis reflexivo en ambos conceptos, reconociendo dimensiones que logren identificar y conceptualizar el

Capital Social y la Regeneración Urbana. Uniendo dos materias

- sociales y urbanas - que para esta investigación, deben estar

completamente enlazadas para el desarrollo de la praxis.

De este modo, se concluye como principio fundamental del

proceso de Regeneración Urbana, la construcción del Capital

Social, volviendo a retomar como objeto de anhelo los valores

sociales que la ciudad debe construir y velar por ellos.

En la medida, que exista mayor proximidad teórica y práctica

desde el desarrollo urbano hacia el ámbito social, se podran establecer realidades que se deseen, y de aquello implementar todas las acciones que se consideren necesarias para alcanzar la

meta propuesta. Por eso, este documento pretender dar un paso

más al desarrollo de la investigación sobre estos temas.

This current paper seeks to contribute to reflexive analysis on

the process of urban regeneration from the socio-cultural view.

Therefore, we have chosen as a focus of study,the Social Capital, trying to contribute to the field of research on the subject

exposed.

This research postulates that urban development processes

should point to the main foundations of urbanism, of wich define

as an ultimate objective and / or mission: the construction and

strengthen of the citizen, giving validity to concepts that are part

of the Constitution, the Common Good.

With that, we unfold a reflexive analisys in both concepts, recognizing dimensions able to identify and conceptualize the Social

Capital and Urban Regeneration. Linking two subjects - social

and urban - that for this investigation, must be fully linked to the

development of praxis.

Therefore we conclude as a fundamental principle of urban regeneration process, the construction of Social Capital, returning

to take up as an object of desire the social values that the city

should build and so, look out for them.

In a way of theoretical and practical proximity from urban development to the social part we could establish the desired realities,

and with that, implement all actions deemed necessary to achieve the goal. Therefore, this paper intends to take a step further

on the development of research on these issues.
