Abstract
dc.description.abstract

Piracy is a common practice among content consumers and it is also within cultural industries.
From very early in the profesional career you see yourself needing to use “pirated” elements
despite the strong opposition from the industry itself. Faced with this reality, a midpoint between
adversarial positions is glimpsed, thinking about the possibilities of this as a tool of access
and creation -or revelation- more than an instance of appropriation and theft of information.
It seems that before this last point, instead of adapting, WIPO has focused more on enclosing
and restricting the use and dissemination of content instead of its opening.
Along with the excessive protection of licenses, the large companies’s lobby, irregular situations - such as censorship and jail, and the difficulty of reaching a consensus to eliminate pirate practice, is that generating discussion and questions is relevant to understanding the scene and continue to advance in legal matters.
Emissions Class B, consists of an experimental project with alternative -or pirates- audiovisual Broadcast systems , seeking collaboration between the making of these illegal devices and design (more specifically, adversarial design) as a regular and legal discipline.
For this bibliography is reviewed in this respect, highlighting the vision of authors such as Lessig,
Stallman, and entities such as the world organization of intelectual property, to then give way to a
study and transmission essays with different systems armed in a homemade way, or “hacking”
technological devices for this purpose. In parallel, the technical feasibility leads me to an analysis of systems and projects related to the subject, whether or not they belong to initiatives of the cultural industry, which also speak of their impact.
At the end of the project the information collected will be available for his replication or improvement.
