Documental sonoro y arte radiofónico

Abstract

El artículo propone un análisis histórico del documental sonoro, entendido como género artístico de la radio, con el objetivo de conocer su relación con el arte radiofónico, reconocer características y elementos clave, e identificar su desarrollo más actual. Basándose en el método histórico, a través de una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva, se reconocen tres etapas del género, se debate sobre su significado y se aprecian las formas que asume hoy el documental. Este goza de una renovada vitalidad, gracias a las tecnologías portátiles y plataformas digitales de producción y reproducción, a las nuevas formas que adopta a través del podcasting, y el auge de la no ficción sonora.

The article proposes a historical analysis of the feature, understood as an artistic genre of radio, with the aim of knowing its relationship with radio art, recognizing key characteristics and elements, and identifying its most current development. Based on the historical method, through an exhaustive bibliographic review, three stages of the genre are recognized, their meaning is debated and the forms that the documentary assumes today are appreciated. It is enjoying renewed vitality, thanks to portable technologies and digital production and playback platforms, the new forms they take through podcasting, and the rise of sound non-fiction.
