San Rosendo : puesta en valor del patrimonio y rescate de la memoria ferroviaria

Abstract

La decadencia del ferrocarril en los años 70 dejó sus instalaciones en desuso, pero su valor histórico, arquitectónico y social sigue siendo relevante. El proyecto de Puesta en Valor del Patrimonio Ferroviario en San Rosendo y el Rescate de la Memoria Ferroviaria, surge en respuesta al legado histórico y cultural de la comuna de San Rosendo, teniendo como objetivo principal, la conexión de los espacios urbanos divididos por la antigua vía del tren a través de la rehabilitación del Conjunto Ferroviario y sus alrededores, así como también el trabajo de consolidación de la Casa de Máquinas y la restauración de la Maestranza. Este patrimonio industrial constituye una parte fundamental de la identidad local, por lo que la implementación de este proyecto no solo preservará el pasado, sino que también impulsará el progreso y la cohesión comunitaria a través de la reactivación de estos sitios históricos y así incentivar a convertir el patrimonio tangible e intangible en un motor de desarrollo sostenible.

The decline of the railroad in the 1970s left its facilities in disuse, but its historical, architectural and social value is still relevant. The project to enhance the value of the Railway Heritage in San Rosendo and the rescue of the Railway Memory, arises in response to the historical and cultural legacy of the commune of San Rosendo, having as main objective, the connection of the urban spaces divided by the old railway track through the rehabilitation of the Railway Complex and its surroundings, as well as the work of consolidation of the Engine House and the restoration of the Maestranza. This industrial heritage is a fundamental part of the local identity, so the implementation of this project will not only preserve the past, but will also promote progress and community cohesion through the reactivation of these historic sites and thus encourage the conversion of tangible and intangible heritage into an engine of sustainable development.
