Monografía: La interacción gato-humano desde una perspectiva del apego

Abstract

El apego, un comportamiento común entre los mamíferos, se vuelve importante a la hora de pensar sobre lo que motiva a diferentes especies a sociabilizar o interactuar de manera sostenida en el tiempo, ya que una de las múltiples posibilidades sería el establecimiento de conexiones afectivas. En este contexto, en esta monografía se utilizó la teoría del apego como marco conceptual para analizar e indagar sobre la existencia de conductas homologables al apego y los factores que influyen en la intensidad de presentación e impacto fisiológico y psicológico, en la interacción del gato con su tutor. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sistemática, basada en el modelo PRISMA, para la búsqueda, recopilación y síntesis de evidencia científica disponible hasta la fecha. Luego de una ardua búsqueda, en diversas plataformas y bases de datos, aplicando criterios de inclusión y exclusión se seleccionaron 47 artículos, por su relevancia y directa relación con el tema investigado. En general, los resultados indican que, de todas las conductas felinas investigadas, las conductas sociales y afiliativas son las que mayor similitud tienen con las conductas observadas y desplegadas por niños humanos en presencia de sus madres. En segundo lugar, los resultados de los artículos incluidos en esta revisión coinciden en que la personalidad del felino es el factor que más influye en la intensidad de la interacción entre el humano y el gato. Por último, se concluyó que las interacciones entre los felinos domésticos y sus tutores son sumamente beneficiosas para ambos interactuantes, tanto a nivel fisiológico como psicológico

Attachment, a common behavior among mammals, becomes relevant when thinking about what motivates different species to socialize or interact sustainably over time, since one of the multiple possibilities would be the establishment of affective connections. In this context, in this monograph the attachment theory was used as a conceptual framework to research and analyze about the existence of equivalent demeanor to attachment, the factors that influence on the intensity of presentation, and physiological and psychological impact in cat’s interaction with their tutors. A systematic bibliographic review was conducted, based on PRISMA model, to search, compile, collect and synthesize empiric scientific data available to date. After a toilsome search, in several platforms and databases, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 47 articles were selected, due to their relevance and direct relationship with the research. Overall, results indicate that, of all considered feline conducts, social and affiliative conducts are comparable to observed and displayed conducts between human children in presence of their mother. In second place, the results of the articles included in this review agree that the feline's personality is the factor that most influences the intensity of the interaction between the human and the cat. Lastly, it was concluded that the interactions between domestic felines and their tutors are extremely beneficial for interactants, both physiologically and psychologically
