Democratización de la lectura y el libro: red de colaboración entre bibliometro e Instituto Psiquiátrico Dr. José Horwitz Barak. El caso del bibliohospital Instituto Psiquiátrico Dr. José Horwitz Barak

Abstract

Este estudio cualitativo indaga en los incentivos que facilitaron la red de colaboración entre Bibliometro y el Instituto Psiquiátrico Dr. José Horwitz Barak, posibilitando la implementación de un Bibliohospital en el recinto de salud mental. Sobre la base de las entrevistas semiestructuradas realizadas, se concluyó que los incentivos -entendidos como cualquier factor, mecanismo, elemento o situación que impulse a un actor a hacer una cosa- fueron tres: intereses complementarios, eficiencia en la provisión del servicio, y cultura organizacional que favorece la colaboración en pos del usuario; este último surge como el más relevante y decisorio en esta red y, por consiguiente, en la instauración del Bibliohospital. Finalmente, a partir de los resultados analizados, se enuncian recomendaciones, propuestas y/o nuevas líneas de investigación para el sector cultural en Chile, específicamente en lo relativo a la lectura y al libro.

This qualitative study investigates the incentives that facilitated the collaborative network between Bibliometro and Instituto Psiquiátrico Dr. José Horwitz Barak, making possible the implementation of a Bibliohospital in the mental health facility. On the basis of the semi-structured interviews conducted, it was concluded that the incentives -understood as any factor, mechanism, element or situation that drives an actor to do something- were three: complementary interests, efficiency in the provision of the service, and organizational culture that favors collaboration in favor of the user; the latter emerges as the most relevant and decisive in this network and, consequently, in the establishment of the Bibliohospital. Finally, based on the results analyzed, recommendations, proposals and/or new lines of research for the cultural sector in Chile, specifically in relation to reading and books, are enunciated.
