Abstract | dc.description.abstract | Six flavonoids have been isolated from the stems, leaves and flowers of Centaurea floccosa Hook. et Arn.: hispidulin, eriodictyol, taxifolin, kaempterol, quercetin and chrysoeriol. They were identified by comparison of their physical and spectral properties (m.p.,UV, IR,1H NMR and MS) with literature data. The antimicrobial activities of chloroform and ethyl acetate extracts and of the flavonoids has been determined. | en_US |
