Abstract
In this paper we construct and analyze a two-sector model of international trade characterized by the hypothesis of imperfect simultaneous intersectoral mobility of capital and labor. In this framework of analysis it is shown that, in the face of exogenous shocks, the functional and sectoral distribution of income as well as the trade pattern, are sensible to the degree of factor specificity. In addition, it is proved that intersectoral perfect factor mobility is not a necessary condition for the Stolper-Samuelson and the Rybczynski theorems to hold. It is suficient that the degree of specificity does not surpass a certain threshold.
