Abstract	dc.description.abstract	A novel sesquiterpene lactone, podoandin, has been isolated from the leaves of Podocarpus andina. Its structure has been established by means of spectroscopic data and confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. It exhibited moderate molluscicidal activity as well as other biological activities. © 1992.
