La revolución de las finanzas abiertas, en Chile y el mundo

Abstract

En la presente investigación se aborda el fenómeno Fintech, el cual consiste en el uso de la tecnología en el mundo de las finanzas, así como su consecuente disrupción en el ecosistema bancario tradicional. En particular, se estudia el Sistema de Finanzas Abiertas u Open Finance, el cual supone un cambio de paradigma en cuanto al uso de la información financiera en Chile, dado que permite al titular de la información disponer de ella, capitalizarla y obtener beneficios. Para lograr lo anterior, se revisa el contexto histórico global en el cual surge Fintech y Open Finance, la lógica subyacente a estos fenómenos, sus ventajas, y la evolución de estos tanto en Chile como en el mundo, las lecciones de la experiencia comparada y la importancia de una correcta regulación en el trabajo de mitigar los desafíos propios de la implementación de un Sistema de Finanzas Abiertas en el territorio nacional

This research addresses the Fintech phenomenon, which consists of the use of technology in the world of finance, as well as its consequent disruption in the traditional banking ecosystem. In particular, we study the Open Finance System or Open Finance, which represents a paradigm shift in the use of financial information in Chile, since it allows the owner of the information to use it, capitalize on it and obtain benefits. To achieve the above, we review the global historical context in which Fintech and Open Finance emerged, the underlying logic of these phenomena, their advantages, and their evolution both in Chile and in the world, the lessons of comparative experience and the importance of proper regulation in the work of mitigating the challenges of implementing an Open Finance System in the national territory
