| Abstract | dc.description.abstract | In the context of open science and scholarly communication, enhancing the visibility of digital repositories is essential for maximizing the reach, impact, and discoverability of the content they host. This chapter explores five key strategies to improve repository visibility: optimizing metadata quality, enabling interoperability protocols, adopting persistent identifiers (PIDs), implementing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, and embracing generative engine optimization (GEO). Through detailed analysis and practical recommendations, this work highlights how standardized metadata, controlled vocabularies, and persistent identifiers, such as DOI, Handle, and ARK, contribute to enhancing visibility. This chapter also emphasizes the importance of aligning repositories with evolving web technologies and AI-driven engines to ensure content remains accessible, traceable, and integrated into users’ search experience. | es_ES |
