The cultural identity is fundamental for the development of a community, this allows it to be consolidated as a group, besides, they have the initiative to strengthen for chiefly the traditions and customs, being transmitted from generation to generation. The loss of identity and the lack of recognition of heritage, is the main reason whence the community loses interest in protecting the buildings with the zones of historical relevance of the territory. A case of this is in the San Esteban commune, located in the region of Valparaíso, where La Ermita park and house is located, an iconic and unique property in its style, which is in a state of advanced deterioration, bringing as a consequence the forgetting of a part of the communal history. The methodological process of the project was divided into three stages, the first to recognize a general problem, a topic of importance at the national level and the terrain where they apply. The second is a deepening of the place by means of analysis that covers from the territorial to the micro level of the terrain, determination of FODA through conclusions, secondary problems and the selection of users based on communal deficiencies. Finishing in a third stage of master plan and then the design of the project. As a result of this process we observed the advanced deterioration of the communal heritage and the lack of both cultural and commercial equipment for the commune. In order to deliver solutions to the community, the rehabilitation project of the most important HCZ of the commune is carried out, the La Ermita Park, allowing to have basic services and new recreational green areas. This project acts as a connector for the green areas and the urban scene, allows the autonomy and consolidation of the urban area of San Esteban, rescue the Chilean customs and rural traditions and appraise the heritage....

Laguna Carén is a land property located in Pudahuel, belonging to Universidad de Chile. The visits for recreational purposes that receives will increase considerably due to the surrounding real estate expansion. This thesis project contributes to the planning of a Park, with a characterization of the current visiting public and the impacts that they cause on the ecosystem. To generate proposals according to the new guidelines, we applied users' surveys and staff interviews, plus visits to the area and other comparable parks, to analyze the current recreational and educational offer. The respondents' sociodemographic results showed that only 15% corresponded to the Pudahuel commune, 47% declared that they had maximum secondary education, and 65% stated that they repeatedly visited the area. The "reason for existence" of the land property, indicated as first considerations: recreation, family, entertainment, nature, sport and recreation. Among the visitors' impacts is the generation of waste, burnings, mowing of grasslands and the occupation of restricted areas. Sports groups are located in remote areas and generate particular impacts. Illegal residents, farmworkers and illegal hunters are other actors that also have an impact throughout the area. The basic and rustic infrastructure present is only recreational. Offer for educational purposes does not exist. The activities carried out and declared with the greatest importance were: rest, food with barbecue and sport fishing. The most interesting educational activities proposals were: a viewpoint from the top of Cerro Amapola, self-explanatory infographics along the public use area, and interpretive trails. Proposals in the recreational field focus on the area currently used for the common public, improving conditions and offering new options to satisfy observed and revealed needs. The proposals on environmental education focus on using the available and remarkable resources of the area, converging on four central axes to highlight: Mediterranean ecosystem, wetlands, fauna and flora. Improving the recreational offer will allow focusing public use with that interest to the area adapted for it, allowing the inclusion of educational components. The educational offer will have as beneficiaries the current visitors and new groups inclined towards conservation, research and environmental education issues....

(Universidad de Chile, 2016)
esta temática
poco abordada. A través del método de los costos de viaje zonal se calculó el valor de
los servicios ecosistémicos culturales de recreación generados por un iírea protegida
privada: Parque Oncol (Valdivi4 XIV Región). Además, se determinó...
Economic valuation methods have become effective instruments to quantif,i the positive extemalities of ecosystem goods and services provided by protected areas. The development of these strategies in Chile has been slow, focused on protected areas belonging to the National System of Protected Areas (SNASPE), while private protected areas have not yet been studied. We calculated the value of recreational, cultural, ecosystem services, by means of the zonal travel cost method, of a private protected area: The Oncol Park (Valdivia, Chile). Furthermore, we determined the origin of the tourists that visit the area and the main uses of tlle available cultural services. Resuits show that toudsts come mainly from central Chile (Santiago metropolitaÍ area and Biobio) and from the Los Ríos Region. Regarding the use of cultural ecosystem services, they relate mostly to tourism and recreation that explains the creation of eco-touristic projects such as sightseeing points, Eco trails and tiroles. Results on travel cost calcuiations showed a per person consumer surplus value of 3.112 CLP. The large distances travelled to the park, and climate, affect this value. It is also influenced by the fact that tourists visit the area only once a year during srÍnmer. Finally, it is worth mentioning that this study represents a starting point in the economic valuation of private protected areas; consequently, futures studies should include new techniques to improve the obtained information. xi...
