Introduction: An appropriate use of inhalers provides optimal management of certain respiratory diseases. On the other hand, the poor utilization of them by patients and/or caregivers, leads to a failure in compliance, and also a waste of logistical and financial resources associated with these drugs. Objective: To evaluate the utilization of inhalers in patients of “Hospital Exequiel González Cortés”. Materials and methods: A database was created based on pharmacy records and FONASA database. Variables as number of patients, sex and residence place were analyzed, as well as “what”, “when” and “how many” inhalers were dispensed. Then, an observational and descriptive study was performed to patients and/or caregivers, on the bronchopulmonary room through a survey, to evaluate knowledge about inhalation technique and adherence. The latter was measured by Morisky-Green test, and also others aspects associated to inhalers were analyzed. The period between June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016 was studied, both dates inclusive. Results: In the period assessed, were dispensed 2084 inhalers, 57% (n= 1188) of the patients were male, and 95,7% (n=199) came from Metropolitan Region. The most dispensed drug was oral fluticasone 250 ug. May and April were the months with more inhalers dispensed. Also, two-thirds parts of the patients withdrew less than 5 inhalers per year. The survey found that patients answered an average 5 questions of 7 on the inhalation technique, and according to Morisky-Green criteria, there was a 30,4% of adherence. Conclusion: From the survey a lack of adherence was found, which could be explained by the fact that the patients withdrew less inhalers than indicated, requiring interventions in this regard, or could also be due to patients taking drugs in another way, requiring interventions in this regard...

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to present a proposal for an organizational communication plan that responds to the current needs of an educational community with delegated administration, in which two vocational high schools share facilities with high management Headquarters. This situation, added to the highly hierarchical national culture, has generated contradictions between the roles of the supervisors and teachers within the organization, since the decisions of the principal of the school are subject to review by the high management, causing uneasiness between teachers and principal, where both must follow instructions that often do not seem to meet the needs of the school. The data obtained by the SUCESO ISTAS/21 survey reveal communication as one of the major issues that cause tensions, and affecting de development of trust, being a constant concern to the participants of the organization. The results obtained in the diagnosis stage made possible to visualize the problem and its components by means of an extensive analysis of the data obtained through different information gathering mechanisms, since the observation of behaviors within the organization was fundamental for an adequate understanding of those elements that prevent fluidity and effectiveness of communication among its members. Among the means selected for the collection of information there were the observation of oral and written communication, a communication satisfaction survey based on the "communication satisfaction questionnaire" (CSQ), developed by Downs and Hazen (1977), and a focus group that allowed to investigate the aspects detected in the survey with lower satisfaction of communication levels, enabling the creation of a work group with teachers and supervisors that made possible the creation of a plan for the improvement of organizational communication....

Las nuevas tendencias de hábitos de consumo y el aumento de enfermedades crónicas en la población, ha obligado a la industria de bebestibles no alcohólicos a ofrecer productos con mayor valor nutritivo y componentes naturales, que permitan satisfacer un público objetivo más exigente y con un estilo de vida saludable. Es en este contexto, que las barras con mezclas de té con agregados naturales ofrecen ser un negocio atractivo de abordar, dado la etapa de desarrollo en que se encuentran actualmente y el gran potencial de crecimiento para el mercado nacional. Este plan de negocio analiza la viabilidad técnica y económica de establecer locales comerciales tipo barras de mezclas de té en Santiago y regiones que permitan ofrecer a los clientes un producto bebestible natural y con propiedades saludables, con múltiples sabores, con una compra al paso durante todo el año. A través de estudios locales y una encuesta de mercado de elaboración propia, se analizó la deseabilidad real del producto dentro de la población chilena, permitiendo conocer y profundizar en el interés de los diferentes grupos etarios y socioeconómicos respecto a las mezclas de té con agregados naturales, las preferencias de consumo y su disposición a pagar. Lo anterior no permitió determinar los diferentes grupos objetivos de la población más relacionada y de interés para el desarrollo del negocio. Para determinar la viabilidad técnica del negocio se determinaron en primera instancia los impactos más significativos del macroentorno y el análisis de la competencia dentro de la industria de las barras de té. Posteriormente se describió el modelo de negocio con su respectiva propuesta de valor, los recursos y capacidades existentes y el plan de desarrollo operativo de la empresa. A través de un plan de marketing operativo y estratégico se describieron las estrategias y tácticas que nos permitan analizar el mercado, conocer nuestro púbico objetivo y definir un plan de acción con el fin de conseguir los objetivos de marketing propuestos. En función de la planificación estratégica de escalamiento y desarrollo del negocio, el análisis financiero revela la viabilidad económica del proyecto, cuyos valores del VAN, tasa de retorno interna y recuperación de la inversión, nos ratifican el atractivo que mantiene este proyecto y la oportunidad que ofrece en desarrollar y escalar un negocio en etapa de introducción en Chile....

Innovation within the food industry is a very broad concept, which can be applied within the processing of the company to optimize production parameters such as costs, time, product improvement or development of a new food for the market. These innovations have to be in line with consumer demands and current trends, which will be analyzed throughout this study. The main objective is to analyze the trend and perspective of national and international trade through a literature review and a characterization of both companies and local consumers, the study of both topics will be through surveys. The bibliographic review was obtained from different databases, such as: Science Direct, Web of Science, Scielo, Google Scholar and Google in general. For the bibliographic study of the technologies, a total of 12,837 publications were found, of which 16.3% corresponded to High Hydrostatic Pressures, 8.1% to nanotechnology, 8.5% to lyophilization and 67.1% to packaging. The industries that use this type of technology are: dairy, fruit and vegetable, meat and seafood industries, among others. In order to carry out a more exhaustive study, two surveys were conducted. The first was made to 92 consumers at random, obtaining all the responses. As a general indicator, 75% of the people surveyed said that they had increased their consumption of healthy foods in their diet. The second survey was made to 117 companies of different areas that develop food, obtaining 22 responses. It could be observed, at a general level, that all of them had implemented some type of change or improvement in their processing systems and/or products in order to stand out and be more competitive in the market, thus adapting to the demands of consumers who opt for foods that are nutritious and beneficial to their health...

As is known, immunization is considered one of the most successful and cost-effective public health interventions of all time, which is why researchers from around the world have collaborated in the research and rapid development of safe and effective vaccines for deal with this pandemic. The objective of this study was to characterize the communications received through the MeVacuno platform due to suspected adverse events reported to the Vaccine Pharmacovigilance Subdepartment of the Instituto de Salud Publica through a self-applied online survey developed for this purpose. Through a prospective observational cross-sectional study, the possible clinical manifestations communicated by patients after the administration of a dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine were analyzed in a sample of people vaccinated during the first month of the campaign. The survey was successfully sent to 50,113 people, of whom 19,312 (38.5%) completed the survey at least once. In total, the responses of 19,312 respondents were used, where 67.1% (12,959) were women, the average age was 38 ± 12 years and 70.4% (13,601) were under 40 years. 20.8% (4,032) of those surveyed declared having at least one comorbidity. The most common was overweight-obesity with 29.6% (1,194) and 73.9% (2,981) of the people who had underlying, or chronic disease were women. Of the total number of respondents, 42.1% (8,139) indicated at least one clinical manifestation at some point in the study, 94.1% (7,660) indicated having presented some local reaction at the injection site, while 81.6% (6,645) declared some systemic manifestation. Pain at the injection site with 87.4% (7,113) was the most frequent local clinical manifestation, while headache with 50.9% (4,144) was the most frequent systemic manifestation.
