Chile and generally Latin America, have a prevailing need to solve the lack of mechanisms of action and tools to understand and manage the habitat and socio-natural risks; in this sense it is undoubtedly essential to establish comprehensive and interdisciplinary work models that deliver a consistent, coherent and concise methodological guidance both to the administrators of the territory, as well as to the inhabitant of a determined sector, in order to make conscious decisions about the planning of the residential habitat, based on the efficient and effective use of the available resources. Despite the large number of studies, analysis and discussion on the subject, essential deficiencies still exist when facing the problem, from the limitation and understanding of the phenomenon, which prevents the materialization of a complete management model, appropriate to the reality and to each one of the dimensions of the residential habitat. As a consequence of the above, the main objective of this equivalent training activity, AFE, is to develop a methodology for the management of the infrastructure and equipment of small coastal towns in conditions of tsunami risk and habitual catastrophes, that by articulating the physical spatial, political economic and socio-cultural dimensions, allows to establish evaluation and analysis tools, as well as recommendations to guide the decision-making process of territorial administrators, regarding the existing socio-natural risks in their coastal edge locations, in continental Chile, on the understanding that achieving a macro view of the territory is needed to comprehend certain phenomena. To achieve the above-stated objective, it is proposed in the first place, to establish a clear picture about socio-natural disasters, unifying criteria and systematizing existing information in order to establish a common and easy to understand language, with the purpose that anyone can realize the importance of the subject and in the same way can transmit and educate others on the subject, being or not a specialist in the field. At the same time, the development of a "methodology for the management of the infrastructure and equipment of small coastal towns in conditions of tsunami risk and habitual catastrophes" aims to develop a tool (suitable both local administrators oh the territory as well as for social leaders) that allows having clear guidelines when managing a residential habitat, either in conditions of normality, in order to take precedence over any threat, or in a post-disaster emergency situation, so that appropriate decisions can be made combining speed, planning and sustainability, in diverse subjects as the delivery of information, education on the subject, prevention in health issues, modeling and territorial regulations or others. The expected product incorporates a simple territorial diagnosis system, which allows to identify the characteristics, conditions and vulnerabilities of the area where the model is applied, a mechanism to identify socio-natural risks to establish potential threats and consequences of the action of these, as well as a territorial management methodology, recommendations and general guidelines, all with the purpose of being distributed either digitally and / or physically to entities such as ONEMI, the regional governments, the Municipality Association, municipal delegates, neighborhood boards or other public entities and private who are interested in the subject....

In 2000 it was declared as national interest the eradication of classical swine fever (CSF) in the Colombian territory, through zoning strategy the country was free from the disease by keeping some areas with vaccination between the period 2007 to 2013, but as a result of illegal transport of pigs from the border with Venezuela, the disease reentered forward to some areas declared free of the disease. This paper aims to assess the economic impact for the state of the reintroduction of the CFP in Colombia, simulating and quantifying the presentation of one outbreak in a free area of the disease (department of Antioquia) and one outbreak in the control area (Arauca) in a backyard production system and modernized following the management established by the contingency plan of the Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario ICA, and compared it to the costs associated with CSF monitoring epidemiologic program in 2015. Product of simulation and assessment of scenarios, the costs of an outbreak of CSF in the department of Arauca are less than the costs associated with the monitoring program for CSF in 2015 as opposed to an outbreak of CSF in the department Antioquia where costs double the budget of the monitoring program. Therefore it is necessary to strengthen surveillance and control program and eradication, in order to avoid economic losses for the state and strengthen the health status of the country....
