Experiencia y desafíos de la investigación en el nivel de pregrado en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Chile.

Abstract

Partiendo de una sistematización de los rasgos generales más característicos de la formación de Arquitecto en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Chile, se presenta, en primer lugar, una reseña del proceso de introducción de la actividad de investigación en el pregrado de la carrera de Arquitectura, para señalar luego las exigencias actuales a los estudiantes en Seminarios de Investigación y Tesis de Título investigativas, tomando el caso de la especialidad del Urbanismo. Finalmente, se enuncia algunas tareas pendientes, y desafíos que habría que abordar para ir hacia a nuevas y mejores etapas de desarrollo. // Starting from a systemization of the general characteristics of educating an architect in the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Chile, presented here, in the first instance, is a summary of the introductory process to the activity of undergraduate research in the subject of architecture. Later, the case of the specialty of urbanism is used in order to point out the existing requirements of students in research seminars and degree thesis investigation. Finally, some pending chores and challenges that need to be dealt with in order to push toward new and better stages of development are stated.
