General two-dimensional least-squares image subtraction
Abstract
A very general two-dimensional solution to the image convolution problem is presented
extending the least-squares approach of Bramich. Image convolution is of wide applicability
in astronomical data reduction including, but not limited to, light-curve analysis, microlensing
and planet transits. The authors present the solution in a manner of interest to someone wishing
to code a spatially varying implementation of the least-squares method.
