Abstract
dc.description.abstract
Invasive fungal infections have become an increasingly common problem in neonatal intensive care units
(NICU). Invasive candidiasis (IC) is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality rates, especially in preterm
infants. The aim of this review is to suggest actions in monitoring, prevention, treatment and follow up of
IC in the newborn infant.
