Analizando la experiencia histórica chilena se argumenta en contra de la convocatoria a una Asamblea Constituyente, contradictoria con la democracia representativa, y se propone radicar el cambio constitucional en el Congreso Nacional. Given Chilean constitutional history, the article argues against a popular assembly to
draft a new constitution. Instead, it favours representative democracy and proposes
that constitutional change be channelled through the National Congress.
