| Abstract | dc.description.abstract | We report 4 episodes of spontaneous bacterial pleuritis observed in 3 patients with liver cirrhosis complicated by ascites and pleural effusion. This infection mimics spontaneous bacterial peritonitis. Three episodes were successfully treated. Proposed pathogenesis, diagnostic methods and therapy are discussed. | |
