Abstractdc.description.abstractThe diverse treatment employed in 752 patients with gastric cancer admitted to five hospitals in Chile is presented.Twenty-eight percent of the cases could not be submitted to surgery. Exploratory laparotomy was performed in 43% of the cases. Gastric resection could only be done in 29% of the whole group.All methods were accompanied with a high mortality and morbidity. © 1975 Oxford University Press.
