Abstractdc.description.abstractOur Chilean colleagues, keenly sensitive to the prevalence of gastric cancer in that country, describe a patient with an antral ulcer which appeared to be highly suspicious of an early gastric carcinoma. Such was not the case. An editorial comment in this issue addresses the question of how radical resection might be avoided in these perplexing circumstances. © 1972, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
