| Abstract | dc.description.abstract | A patient with AIDS developed pulmonary infiltrates typical of infection by P. carinii. However, therapy for this agent was unsuccessful. Further studies including blood cultures revealed the presence of C neoformans. Specific therapy for this agent led to recovery. Concomitant opportunistic infections may cause diagnostic and therapeutic problems in patients with AIDS. | |
