Abstract
dc.description.abstract
This article describes and analyzes the main social and political events of the second year of Sebastián Piñera's government. The year 2011 showed a significant increase of social mobilization processes, that took to the streets the expression of social demands, showing the government' and political parties' inability to cope with these new challenges. These events and their political consequences are evidence of possible changes in the Chilean political system, producing a high level of uncertainty as to how they will develop in the future.
