Abstract
The Requirements Engineering activities have been considered as keys to the success of the Information Systems (IS) projects. A literary review of the IR would identify which areas of the discipline have been covered (birght side), but it is left to identify those that do not (blind/blink side). In this article we propose an ontology that allows (1) to describe the body of knowledge of the IR, (2) identify the blind/blink and bright side through the mapping of articles in this ontology. The results of the mapping show that the articles have been concentrated mainly in the areas related to the stakeholders and business process of the IR, specifically in the elicitation activity with the purpose of analyzing the requirements, leaving aside interesting ones such as simulation, negotiation, re-use of requirements and the environment/business environment of the discipline.
