Abstract

Death a vision from philosophy
Summary: This is an attempt to make an approximation to a conceptualization of death from a
philosophical perspective, addressed to physicians who are neophytes in philosophy, based on
prominent philosophers as Jaspers and Heidegger, to use the terms, dasein, existenz, transcendence,
autonomy, proper and improper death that sometimes do not coincide in time and it is the challenge
of modernity that should motivate us to Sapere Aude, since memento mori exists and death is the
greatest possibility of all possible possibilities, it is our obligation to define how we want to leave
this world.
Keywords: Proper and improper death, dasein, existenz, transcendence, autonomy.
