Abstract

Este estudio abordó la pregunta referente las opiniones de los estudiantes que conformaron comunidades virtuales chilenas que surgen a partir del movimiento estudiantil correspondiente al periodo comprendido entre los años 2011 hasta el 2013, las cuales emplearon las TIC's como movilizadores de cambio social. El enfoque investigativo es de carácter cualitativo, siendo en su hacer, empírica descriptiva de los sucesos a ser estudiados, se utilizó para aquello el estudio de caso y el análisis comparativo de categorías. La muestra del estudio se obtuvo gracias al diseño de cinco entrevistas semi-estructuradas a estudiantes de la FECH, y un focus group, donde se contó con otros cinco estudiantes con roles activos. Uno de los principales resultados de la investigación se basó en desmitificar las TIC's como un generador de comunidades virtuales para estos fines, sino que más bien, las TIC's fueron unas herramientas que amplificaron la organización comunitaria estudiantil de base política cívico social

Abstract This study addressed the question concerning the views of the students who formed Chilean virtual communities that emerge from the student movement corresponding to the period from 2011 to 2013, which used TIC's as mobilizers of social change. The investigative approach is qualitative, being in its empirical, descriptive of the events to be studied, was used for that the case study and the comparative analysis of categories. The sample of the study was obtained thanks to the design of five semi-structured interviews to students of the FECH, and a focus group, where there were five other students with active roles.
