Significaciones de las cuidadoras de semillas sobre los procesos de conservación e intercambio en contextos rurales de Santa Juana

Abstract

El presente estudio cualitativo, tuvo por objetivo comprender las significaciones que las curadoras de semillas de Santa Juana crean sobre los procesos de conservación e intercambio de semillas. Es relevante visibilizar las miradas rurales y femeninas frente a ópticas de estudio tendientes a urbanización de los fenómenos psicosociales. Se analizan los hallazgos a través de técnica de análisis de contenido. Los resultados evidencian la relevancia de las historias de vidas, los roles y las relaciones entre las curadoras al observar las significaciones que en los espacios de intercambio emergen. El estudio también contribuye a visibilizar el impacto que en el cuidado de los suelos y la conservación de biodiversidad cultural y de semillas tiene el trabajo realizado por las curadoras de semillas de Santa Juana.

ABSTRACT The objective of this qualitative study is to understand the meanings that the seed curators of Santa Juana create about the processes of seed conservation and exchange. It is relevant to make rural and feminine perspectives visible in the face of study optics aimed at the urbanization of psychosocial phenomena. The findings are analyzed through content analysis technique. The results show the relevance of the life stories, roles and relationships between the curators by observing the meanings that emerge in the exchange spaces. The study also contributes to making visible the impact that the work carried out by the seed curators of Santa Juana has on the care of the soil and the conservation of cultural and seed biodiversity.
