Intermedialidad e integración de prácticas artísticas: muralismo, fotografía y poesía en "Las piedras de Chile" (1961)

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza desde una perspectiva intermedial algunas producciones de Las piedras de Chile (1960), práctica artística, principalmente, entre el poeta Pablo Neruda y el fotógrafo Antonio Quintana; y también entre la escultora y muralista María Martner también con el poeta chileno. El enfoque intermedial nos permite vincular disciplinas como la poesía y la fotografía, la poesía y el muralismo, y la poesía, el muralismo y la fotografía, generando un diálogo ecfrástico y de remediación, respectivamente, donde las artes se imbrican para crear prácticas artísticas únicas. La metodología empleada incluye el análisis de écfrasis narrativa y descriptiva para examinar el cruce entre las imágenes de Quintana y los versos de Pablo Neruda; así como nos será enriquecedor atender el concepto de remediación, de Bolter y Grusin (2000), cuando atendamos la relación entre la poesía de Neruda y el mural de Martner, donde cada materialidad influye en la otra.

This article analyzes some of the productions of Las piedras de Chile (1960) from an intermediate perspective, involving the artistic practice between, primarily, the poet Pablo Neruda and the photographer Antonio Quintana as well as between the sculptor and muralist María Martner and the Chilean poet. The intermedial approach allows us to link disciplines such as poetry and photography, poetry and muralism, and poetry, muralism and photography, generating an ekphrastic and remediation dialogue, respectively, where the arts overlap to create unique artistic practices. The methodology employed includes the analysis of narrative and descriptive ekphrasis to examine the crossing between Quintana’s images and Pablo Neruda’s verses. Additionlly, it Will be enriching for us to attend to the concept of remediation, by Bolter and Grusin (2000), when we attend to the relationship between Neruda’s poetry and Martner’s mural, where each materiality influences the other.
