Caracterización de la industria del mueble en las Regiones de Valparaíso, Metropolitana y O’Higgins

Abstract

Los muebles de madera son productos finales manufacturados de tableros, madera bruta o elaborada a los cuales se les aplica diferentes procesos, barnices y acabados, según el uso del producto que se quiera obtener. En Chile la industria del mueble se ha desarrollado a través del tiempo con distintas innovaciones, lo que le ha permitido permanecer en vigencia, aunque es posible que se enfrenten cambios en cuanto al tipo y tamaño de las empresas que participan. El área de estudio se localiza en la Región Metropolitana, en la Región de Valparaíso y en la Región de O’Higgins. El lugar posee gran relevancia en el comercio y empleo del país, y desde hace años no existe información publicada de la actividad mobiliaria. Por ello se vuelve necesario actualizar la situación del sector muebles, considerando su importancia desde el consumo y su capacidad productiva. Para abordar esta propuesta se lleva a cabo un exhaustivo levantamiento de información, de las empresas pertenecientes a la industria, para luego sistematizar la información, analizar la industria del mueble, analizar su entorno, catalogar por rubro, subrubro, tipologías, entre otras peculiaridades que caractericen la industria del mueble. Al mismo tiempo, la sistematización de la información se utiliza para generar un catálogo de ofertas en directorio Excel (.xlsx) y mapa activo (Html Document). Con esto se determina que la industria, posee 693 empresas con mayor participación en la Región Metropolitana con 500 empresas, seguida en menor cantidad la Región de Valparaíso, con 124 empresas, encontrándose en el último lugar la Región de O’Higgins 69 empresas. Finalmente, se está produciendo una migración de las empresas con planta física hacia las empresas virtuales, los mueblistas de pequeñas y medianas empresas han dejado de lado la participación en las certificaciones que garantizan calidad de sus productos, se hace necesario mejorar la relación entre la calidad y el mueble.

The wooden furniture are final products made of raw or processed, to which different varnishes, paint finish and processes are applied depending on the use of the product that you want to obtain. In Chile the n furniture industry has developed over the time with different innovations, which has allowed it to remain in force although it is possible that changes face in terms of type and size of companies that are involved. The study area is located in the Region of Valparaíso, in the Region Metropolitana and in the Region of O’Higgins. This place possesses a great relevance for the country’s trade and their employment, and for years there has been no published information on the furniture activity. Therefore, it is necessary to update the situation of the furniture sector, considering its importance from consumption and productive capacity. To deal with this suggestion it is carried out an exhaustive collection of information of the companies belonging to the industry in order to systematize the information, analyse the furniture industry and its environment, catalog by category, subcategory, typologies among other peculiarities that characterize the furniture industry. At the same time, the systematization of the information is used to generate a catalog of offers in excel directory (.xlsx) and active map (Html Document). With this it determines that the industry posses 693 companies, the Region Metropolitana has 500 companies, followed to a lesser number the Valparaíso Region whit 124 companies and in the last place, the O’Higgins Region with 69 companies. Finally, there is a migration from physical companies to virtual companies, the small and medium companies of furniture makers have left aside the participation in the certifications that guarantee the quality of their products, it is necessary to improve the relationship between quality and furniture.
