Acuerdos comerciales y procesos de cambio institucional

Abstract
The promotion of international trade is considered as one of the policies implemented by countries in order to encourage their own economic development through specialization and market competition. In many cases, trade agreements contain subjects and measures that in their implementation produce changes in how a national institution works, or means the building of new ones. The objective of this document is to expose the relation between trade policy and the evolution of some institutional characteristics at developing countries. The text is organized as follows: first, they will be exposed the references related with the object of study, explaining the methodology proposed. Second, they are exposed the results obtained through descriptive analysis technics. Finally, the conclusions of the document are raised, showing that countries which present deeper trade openness tend to have better scores in the institutional performance.
