Abstract
dc.description.abstract

Abstract
dc.description.abstract
As a product of the Project, it is proposed to develop a line of biodegradable underwear with low environmental impact. Underwear is the third garment most consumed by chileans, its short useful life and the abuse of synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon, elastane and spandex results in waste remaining in landfills without being able to biodegrade (Euromonitor international, 2012). In Chile the vast majority of consumers do not take care of the textile waste generated, producing a total of 350 tons per year, which is why the need arises to design a line of underwear with low environmental impact, aiming use in its production 100% of fabrics of vegetable origin. For this research, a bibliographic review was carried out, which allowed to establish design requirements, manufacturing method and finally to develop a brand identity that generates in the consumers, conscience and environmental responsability.
