Apropiación tecnológica : la agencia del usuario como creador de paradigmas tecnológicos

Abstract

La complejidad de las nuevas tecnologías ha abierto nuevas fronteras en lo que respecta a las interacciones entre lo humano y la máquina. La apropiación tecnológica aparece como un estudio de estas relaciones y busca entender como el usuario aprende y dialoga con las tecnologías y cómo, a través de este aprendizaje, el usuario las entiende de una manera en la que afecta las tecnologías en un sentido más grande. Pero la tecnología se presenta con un alto nivel de complejidad, tanto en su estructura intangible, el software, como las condiciones y paradigmas que la rodea, y se vuelve una especie de caja negra indescifrable a primera vista. Aun así, la capacidad del aprendizaje del usuario y las acciones de los hacker dan cuenta de un panorama distinto, la tecnología es modificable y maleable.

The complexity of new technologies has opened new frontiers regarding the interactions between human and machine. Technology Appropriation appears as an area of study for this kind of relationships and tries to understand how the user learns and interacts with technologies, and how, through this learning, the user understands them in a way that affects technology in a broader way. But technology is presented with a high level of complexity, both in its intangible structure, the software, and the conditions and paradigms that surround it, and it becomes a type of black box that’s impossible to decipher at first glance. Yet, the learning capacity from the user and the actions of Hackers present a different view, technology is modifiable and malleable.
