Monstruosidad : representaciones de las sombras del ser disidente

Abstract

“Monstruosidad: Representaciones de las Sombras del Ser Disidente” es el nombre del proyecto de creación donde se concibe la unión transdisciplinaria entre diseño integral y creadores y/o diseñadores independientes de diferentes áreas, pertenecientes a la comunidad LGBTQ+. A partir de esto se forma una propuesta visual pensada desde la monstruosidad como símbolo hacia su representación material. El monstruo disidente es el ser rechazado por la sociedad y, por ende, invisibilizado, quien, en efecto, abraza su desajuste de la norma y lo vuelve un aspecto identitario primordial. Y el diseño carece de representación de realidades diversas. Mediante la creación de una serie de objetos, y posteriormente la presentación de la propuesta global, se busca transmitir la presencia de la disidencia monstruosa. Donde se pueda sentir relación con la propuesta y los objetos di rectamente como comunicadores de ella. Por otro lado, la materialización del discurso y manifiesto de la monstruosidad abren espacio de crítica y reflexión, así, el diseño funciona como un puente emocional entre una sociedad excluyente y aquellos que han sido rechazados por él.

“Monstrosity: Representations of the Shadows of the Queer Being" is the name of the creative project where the transdisciplinary union between integral design and independent creators and/or designers from different areas, belonging to the LGBTQ+ community, is conceived. From this, a visual proposal is formed, conceived from monstrosity as a symbol towards its material representation. The dissident monster is the being rejected by society and therefore, rendered invisible, who, in effect, embraces their deviation from the norm and turns it into a fundamental aspect of identity. The design lacks representation of diverse realities. Through the creation of a series of objects, and subsequently the presentation of the overall proposal, the goal is to convey the presence of monstrous dissidence. Where a connection with the proposal and the objects can be felt directly as communicators of it. On the other hand, the materialization of the discourse and manifesto of monstrosity opens up space for criticism and reflection; thus, design functions as an emotional bridge between an exclusive society and those who have been rejected by it.
