Transformación y afectación territorial : Circuito Patrimonial de Murales en la población Los Nogales 2020-2021, comuna de Estación Central, Región Metropolitana

Abstract

La presente investigación abarca las transformaciones socio-espaciales relacionadas a la intervención del proyecto “Circuito Patrimonial Murales de Nogales” en la población Los Nogales, comuna de Estación Central, ciudad de Santiago de Chile. El enfoque de esta indagación releva la incidencia que estas intervenciones artísticas generan en el territorio, introduciendo el concepto de afectación territorial entendido como una lectura geográfica que relaciona el impacto emocional de las transformaciones territoriales en las prácticas socio-espaciales de un determinado lugar. La propuesta aquí planteada, desde los aportes de la Geografía Emocional, destaca la importancia que la dimensión emocional y territorial tiene en las investigaciones urbanas. La metodología utilizada es de tipo cualitativo, en la que se entrecruzan entrevistas, registros fotográficos y herramientas de espacialización para la comprensión de las características del proyecto y lo que genera en la Población Los Nogales. Como resultado, se obtiene que la instalación del Circuito Patrimonial Murales de Nogales consigue transformar efectivamente las prácticas socio-espaciales de la Población Los Nogales en su período de ejecución, mas también arroja la persistencia que tales modificaciones materiales e inmateriales propuestas continúan manifestándose hasta el día de hoy. Ejemplo de ello es el mantenimiento en buen estado de los murales, la eliminación de basura cercana a estos, la modificación de los recorridos de los habitantes en torno al Circuito, la integración del tejido social y el rescate de la identidad de la Población Los Nogales.

This research is dedicated to understand the socio-spatial transformations related to the intervention of the project “Nogales Murals Patrimonial Circuit” in the town of Los Nogales, commune of Estación Central, city of Santiago. The focus in this investigation reveals the incidence that these artistic interventions generate in the territory, introducing the concept of territorial affectation understood as a geographical reading that relates the emotional impact that the territorial transformations exert and produce in the socio-spatial practices of a certain place. The spatial reading proposed here, from the contributions of Emotional Geography highlights the importance that the emotional and territorial dimension has in urban research. The methodology used is qualitative, in wich interviews, photographic records and spatialization tools are intertwined to understand the characteristics of the project and what it generates in the population of Nogales. As a result, it is obtained that the installation of these Nogales Murals Patrimonial Circuit manages to effectively transform the socio-spatial practices of the population of Los Nogales in its execution period, but it also shows the persistence that such proposed material and immaterial modifications continue to manifest themselves to this day. An example of this is the maintenance of the murals in good condition, the elimination of garbage near them, the modification of the routes of the habitants around the Circuit, the integration of the social tissue and the rescue of the identity of the population in Nogales.
