Abstractdc.description.abstractPsila boliviensis (Wedd.) Cabr. yielded a new phenylpropanoid, named methyl psilalate. The structure was established by means of standard spectroscopic techniques. The microbiological evaluation of the compound revealed antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.en_US
