Derrotero histórico, tendencias y perspectivas de la televisión chilena

Abstract

El artículo desentraña las tendencias estructurales que están a la base del desarrollo histórico de la televisión chilena, especialmente en su transformación de un medio de comunicación de masas clásico y propio del siglo pasado, hacia una plataforma mediática digital, en la que confluyen distintos lenguajes y soportes, así como su rol permanente de actor socio cultural importante, productor de sentidos que interpretan la realidad nacional, en articulación con otros dispositivos discursivos provenientes de otros ámbitos sociales y políticos.

The article tries to unravel the structural tendencies that are at the base of the historical development of the Chilean television, especially in its transformation of a medium of classical and own of the last century, towards a digital media platform, in which different languages and supports converge, as well as its permanent role of important actor socio cultural, products of senses that interpret the national reality, in articulation with other discursive devices from other spheres and socio-political actors.
