Abstractdc.description.abstractThe a.c polarographic method has been applied in the study of the glutathione-ampicillin interaction at pH 7.4 and 37°C. Ampicillin shifted the peak potentials of glutathione to less negative values. A linear relation was observed between the peak potential and the logarithm of the antibiotic concentration. The value of p was 0.87, showing that this type of interaction between glutathione and ampicillin is 1:1. © 1983 Elsevier Sequoia S.A.
