The knowledge of the characteristics in the physicochemical properties of surface waters, is decisive when evaluating their quality and the use to which it is destined. Because not all waters contain the same characteristics, it is important to analyze them with respect to their environment and the standards established by the authority. In the present work, the waters that reach the Rungue Reservoir and that serve as a water source for families that develop agriculture were analyzed. The concentrations of physicochemical parameters of different water samples in a delimited area were determined, in order to establish which are the sites most affected by chosen anthropic sources and what their origin is. Annex to this analysis, the effect occurred in the sediments of each sector was studied, by means of a sample of each point and its subsequent analysis. To study the behavior of the data obtained, a statistical analysis was carried out by means of which temporary concentration curves were constructed using as data, the accumulated averages of the parameters in each monitoring station, adjacent to the anthropic sources. The results obtained showed that residues were found in the waters and that they were mostly inorganic, mainly metals, which would come from the processes carried out by mining activities located near the main tributary of the reservoir under study. The samples taken from the sediments at each sampling point were also analyzed and the existence of both organic and inorganic compounds (the latter in higher concentration) accumulated at the bottom of the aquatic system forming complexes and exposing the waters to possible processes was determined. of redissolution. As a final result, it was possible to establish that the quality of the waters of the sites considered in the sampling of the study area, were mainly affected by inorganic type residues, causing the coloration of their waters and the reduction of their quality. In addition, the criteria used in the procedures carried out to reduce the effects on the waters of the area turned out to be inappropriate...
