Análisis comparativo entre establecimientos educacionales certificados y no certificados ambientalmente en tres comunas de Santiago.

Abstract

La degradación del Medio Ambiente a través de los años ha generado a nivel mundial una preocupación por promover un cambio cultural para la sustentabilidad de los recursos naturales, por medio de la Educación Ambiental, la que se funda en que las personas son parte del problema, pero también parte de la solución. Ante esto, el Estado Chileno creó el Sistema Nacional de Certificación Ambiental de Establecimientos Educacionales (SNCAE), el cual pretende entregar estándares de calidad para realizar Educación Ambiental. Con el fin de comparar los Establecimientos Certificados Ambientalmente y los no Certificados, se analizó la inserción del tema ambiental en la malla curricular, el conocimiento ambiental de los y las estudiantes de tres niveles y las capacitaciones impartidas en ambos casos para establecer sus diferencias y similitudes. Para realizar la comparación, se hizo entrevistas a profesores (as) de los distintos Establecimientos, y a capacitadores de los organismos competentes encargados del SNCAE. Esto se complementó con la aplicación de encuestas, con once temas ambientales a los Establecimientos en estudio. Los resultados obtenidos permiten concluir que los Establecimientos con Certificación insertan de mejor manera el tema ambiental en la malla curricular, además, de haber recibido más capacitaciones en comparación con los Establecimientos no Certificados. Además, dos de los tres Establecimientos Certificados presentaron mayor conocimiento a los temas preguntados en la encuesta que dos de los tres Establecimientos no Certificados

The degradation of the Environment through the years has generated on a worldwide basis a worry by promoting a cultural change for the sustainability of the natural resources, through the Environmental Education, the one that was based on that people are part of the problem, but also part of the solution. In front of this situation, the Chilean State created the National System of Environmental Certification of Educational Establishments (SNCAE), which intends to deliver standards of quality to carry out Environmental Education. With the purpose of comparing the establishments environmentally certificated and the other ones that are not certificated, the insertion of the environmental theme in the curriculum netting was analyzed, the environmental knowledge of the students of three levels and the training given us in both cases to establish its differences and similarities. To carry out the comparison, it was done interviews to professors of different Establishments, and to the trainers of the competent agencies responsible for the SNCAE. It has complemented with the application of surveys, with eleven environmental topics of the Establishments in study. The results obtained allow us that the Establishments with Certification insert of better way the environmental theme in the curriculum netting, besides, of having received more training in comparison with the Establishments that it have been not Certificated. Besides, two of the three Certificated Establishments shown greater knowledge to the topics asked in the survey that two of the three Establishments that has been not Certificated.
