Abstractdc.description.abstractA new quinolizidine alkaloid, (+ )-9cx-hydroxymatrine, was isolated from the lea ves of Sophora macrocarpa. Its structure was determined by a combination of spectroscopic methods, among which nuclear Overhauser enhancement experiments played a crucial role. Some generalizations are made regarding the mass spectra of matrinoids.es_CL
