Abstract
dc.description.abstract
The electrochemical oxidation of acyclovir at different pH and concentrations using both differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry was studied. Acyclovir exhibits one differential pulse voltammetric peak at the glassy carbon electrode. This peak is due to the oxidation of the guanine moiety in the acyclovir molecule and was used to develop a voltammetric analytical procedure for determining the drug in tablets. The proposed method is easy and no time-consuming and it is recommended for the uniformity content test of acyclovir tablets.
