Abstract
dc.description.abstract
The dissociation constants of benzoic (HBz), 3-chlorobenzoic (CIHBz), 3-bromobenzoic (BrHBz), 3-nitrobenzoic (NHBz) and 3,5-dinitrobenzoic (dNHBz) acids in water+2-propanol mixture at 25°C were determined by the conductometric method of Gelb. The study shows that the dissociation order decrease as dNHBz > NHBz< > BrHBz = CIHBz > HBz. Considering the Born equation modified with the Abe expression is observed that the pKa dependence with the permitivity is not sufficient to explain satisfactorily the ion-solvent interactions.
