Abstractdc.description.abstractA novel methodology for the synthesis of S- and N-functionalized dithiocarbamates starting from cyclic sulfates, amines and carbon disulfide by using different protocols, including microwave assistance and a multicomponent variant, has been developed. The procedure is highly versatile, simple and efficient. As an efficient route to dithiocarbamates, a simple and versatile method for preparing S- and N-functionalized dithiocarbamates starting for readily available cyclic sulfates and commercial amines under environmentally friendly conditions is reported.
