Ketanserin: Polarographic Behaviour And Its Determination In Pharmaceutical Forms
Author
Abstract
Electrochemical reduction of Ketanserin was studied at different pH and concentrations using polarography and cyclic voltammetry. Ketanserin exhibits two differential pulse polarographic peaks at the dropping mercury electrode. The first of them, due to the reduction of the flurobenzoyl group, was used to develop a differential pulse polarographic analytical procedure for determining the drug in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The recovery study shows an adequate accuracy and precision for the developed assay. The excipients do not interfere the determination. Consequently, the procedure is easy and nottime consuming. © 1995, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
