Abstract

It seemed interesting to determine the incidence of hospitalary entrance caused by non compliance of treatment in cardiovascular and respiratory patients, hospitalized in the Service of Medicine of five hospitals of the Metropolitan Region, Chile. A pharmaceutical interview was daily and prospectively carried out, in order to evaluate the knowledge. adherence of treatment and hospitalary entrance by noncompliance. A total of 187 patients were considered in the present study. A 17.6% of patients entered by non compliance of treatment, percentage that ranged between 10.8% and 23.8% among the five hospitals included in the study.
