Trayectorias laborales de mujeres migrantes en Santiago de Chile

Abstract

El trabajo aquí presentado tuvo como objetivo comprender las trayectorias laborales de mujeres migrantes en la Región Metropolitana de Santiago de Chile. Lo anterior a través de la descripción de las labores que han desarrollado éstas, explorando el significado que le otorgan a sus trayectorias laborales, así como describiendo las expectativas que se forjan las mujeres migrantes en esta zona. Por sus trayectorias laborales y el significado que otorgan a éstas, las mujeres construyen sus realidades. Sus vidas forman parte del reflejo de la realidad social que viven las migrantes en Santiago, como parte de la historia social colectiva. Es de importancia escuchar las narraciones de las mujeres migrantes y sus trayectorias laborales para conocer la realidad de la migración femenina en el país. Se llevaron a cabo historias de vida con entrevistas semiestructuradas con seis mujeres de diferentes países emisores: Perú, Bolivia, Ecuador, República Dominicana, Colombia y Venezuela. Posteriormente se realizó un análisis narrativo, en el cual se observó un vínculo fuerte entre lo laboral y lo familiar, con un significado del trabajo como parte del habitus que provoca felicidad, tanto en lo personal, como a los cercanos, la familia y los compatriotas, creando redes solidarias. Esto deja a la luz hallazgos que contrastan con las teorías economicistas

Abstrac The work here presented had the objective the comprehension of the immigrant women labor paths from the Metropolitan Region of Santiago de Chile. Above mentioned, through the description of the labors these women have developed, exploring the meaning that they give to their labor paths, as well as describing the expectations that are forged by the immigrant women in this area. Because of their labor paths and the meaning forged, the women build their realities. Their lives take part of the reflection of the social reality where these immigrants live in Santiago, as part of the collective social history. It’s very important, listen the immigrant women narrations and their labor path to know the reality of the feminine migration in the country. Life stories were carried out with semi-structured interviews with six women from different countries: Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Colombia and Venezuela. Later, was performed a narrative analysis which allowed observing the strong link between the labor and the family, with a meaning of the labor as part of the “habitus” that triggers personal happiness, with the relatives, the main family and the compatriots, growing up solidarity networks.
