Abstract
Basado en un cuidadoso análisis de las obras del profesor
Pereira Salas y en sus recuerdos personales, el autor presenta una visión
detallada de la formación intelectual del historiador, su concepción
de la historiografía y la metodología que aplicó en sus investigaciones,
especialmente en los campos de la historia de la cultura, historia
social y diplomática. El autor, alumno y colaborador del profesor
Pereira, trabajó 24 años a su lado, recibiendo una fuerte influencia del
erudito humanista. Based on a carefolly analysis of the works of Professor
Pereira and in the personal remembrances of the author, Gue"ero
presents a detailed testimonial vis ion about the intellectual formation
of the famous historian, his conception of historiography and the
methodology he used in his research, specially in the fields of cultural
history, social and diplomatic history. Guerrero was student and
collaborator ofProfessor Pereira during 24 years receiving at he same
time a strong injluence ofthe erudite humanist.
