II-Metossi-diabolina: un nuovo alcaloide terziario da Strychnos Romeu Belenii Krukoff & Barneby

Abstract

From the stem bark of Strychnos Romeu Belenii Krukoff & Barneby a Loganiacea of South America, a new indolinic alkaloid has been isolated, to which the structure of II-methoxydiaboline(I) has been assigned on the basis of u.v., i.r., n.m.r., o.r.d., and MS data. The structure has been confirmed by converting I in α -colubrine(II) through the N-deacetylderivative(III) (II-methoxy-Wieland-Gumlich aldehyde), and by acetylation to isocondensamine isomer of condensamine(X). II-methoxy-Wieland-Gumlich aldehyde by heating with acetic acid and sodium acetate is converted into the dimeric II,II'-dimethoxy-caracurine V (XI)
