Semisintesis yactividad biologicade derivados del sesquiterpeno pacifenol

Abstract

Pacifenol, a halogenated sesquiterpene was isolated from Laurencia claviformis. Chemical transformations of pacifenol gave some derivatives whose structures were determined by its spectral properties. The effect of these compounds on the inhibition of cytokinesis in sea urchin Tetrapygus niger embryos and Artemia salina was studied.
